Cummins India Appoints Gbile Adewunmi as Managing Director
Cummins India Limited has announced the appointment of Gbile Adewunmi as Managing Director and India Regional Leader, effective 1 November 2026. He will assume these responsibilities alongside his existing role as Vice President, Power Systems Industrial Markets, continuing to oversee the company's Industrial Markets business.
Adewunmi brings extensive experience in industrial power solutions, including mining technologies, hybrid-electric retrofit systems and emissions-reduction initiatives. His leadership has focused on improving customer productivity, operational reliability and sustainable power solutions across global industrial markets.
Jenny Bush, President of Power Systems, highlighted Adewunmi's global leadership experience, customer-focused approach and ability to drive business performance.
Adewunmi said he looked forward to working with employees, customers and stakeholders to strengthen Cummins' operations in India, which remains a strategic growth market for the company.
Established in 1962 and headquartered in Pune, Cummins India operates across power generation, aftermarket services and exports. The company has four manufacturing plants, assembly and distribution facilities, more than 480 customer touchpoints and a workforce exceeding 3,000 employees.
The appointment reinforces Cummins India's focus on expanding its power solutions portfolio and strengthening its position in the country's industrial and infrastructure sectors.
