Pick and carry cranes being essentially front-wheel drive, have traction issues in laden conditions. To overcome this limitation, 4-wheel drive is used in cranes which makes them expensive to own and operate. F20 is the first crane, particularly in the high tonnage pick and carry crane category, that has a front wheel drive. This gives it excellent traction in all conditions. With a rated capacity of 20T @1.5 m it is the only pick and carry crane that can lift 15 tonne using the snatch block and winch USPs.
