Couplings for Diesel Engines
KTR Couplings (I) Pvt Ltd, established in 1998 at Bhosari, Pune is a 100 per cent subsidiary of KTR Systems GmbH Germany, a well-known name worldwide for couplings and power transmission products. KTR established in 1959, with headquarters in Rheine, Germany has subsidiaries in over 23 countries and seven manufacturing plants - in Germany, USA, Poland, Brazil, China, Taiwan and India. We manufacture a variety of couplings and transmission products for all types of conceivable drive applications.

Essential task: Preventing torsional vibrations
Mobile machines and gensets mainly use IC engines as a drive. On hydrostatic drives hydraulic pumps are directly connected, while the compressor unit is driven directly with mobile compressors. Both units are connected via a flange coupling. That is why it has to meet a large number of demands, while primarily it has to transmit the power reliably to ensure that the machine is in a position to perform the work as required. From the point of view of the design engineer, coupling the IC-engine to a generator or hydraulic pumps is a vital task that is not easy to solve. The engine's inevitable torque shocks generate torsional vibrations which have to be compensated to ensure smooth running of the generator.

BoWex-Elastic
BoWex-ELASTIC® consists of a highly flexible rubber element made from natural rubber which is governed by the size of the coupling. The internal axial plug-in hub with external spline corresponds to the BoWex® basic design. BoWex-ELASTIC® is available in different kinds of elastomer hardness with engine flywheel connection flanges to SAE J620 and special dimensions for a power up to 5,000 kW. Key features are: Highly flexible flange coupling with SAE and special flange dimensions; Damping of torsional vibrations; Available in hardness 40, 50, 65 and 70 Shore A. For drives subject to dangerous torsional vibrations to transmit the torque flexibly for the combination of diesel engine with splitter box, generator, compressor, feed pump or high-pressure pump, etc.

BoWex FLE PA
The mating materials polyamide/steel allow for maintenance-free continuous operation with very low friction on the teeth. The smooth and hard surface (crystalline structure) and the high thermal stability and resistance to lubricants, fuels, hydraulic fluids, dissolvents, etc make polyamide an ideal material for components stressed by sliding, particularly for the coupling production. Features are: Torsionally rigid curved-tooth flange coupling; Applicable to all hydrostatic drives, e. g. construction machines and harvesting machines; Maintenance-free due to material combination nylon/steel; PA flange with high mechanical strength and heat stability; and torques from 240 to 5,300 Nm.

MMC combined cooler This is an ideal cooling power pack for mobile agricultural, construction machines and stationary IC engines. Features include: compact design; reduced costs; adaptability to diverse applications; multi-circle cooler for combustion engines (water, oil, charge air, fuel); various lamina systems, applications in different ambient conditions; solid design from aluminium in plate and bar; systems with fan; and different drives (hydraulic motor or 12/24 V fan).
