At the bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2018, Doosan Bobcat India participated with an objective of increasing the awareness of the brand, its portable power products and attachments.

The Doosan Bobcat stall was inaugurated by HW Park, President, Doosan Bobcat Asia, Latin America & Oceania, along with the special invitees. After the inauguration of the stall, the company unveiled two new products: E27 R-Series mini excavator and LEK 1.4 LED light tower. Sameer and Muralidharan from Kerala bought the first Bobcat E27, as Park handed over the key to them to mark the first sale of the unit. RL Kashyap, Vice President, Purchase, GR Infra, bought the first unit of LEK 1.4 light tower launched by the Portable Power division.

The new E27 R-Series mini excavator offers a best-in-class mix of high digging forces, superb stability and smooth controllability of working functions complemented by low weights for easy transportation, according to the company. Excellent machine fit and finish, along with new ground-breaking design features will make the new Bobcat R-Series unique on the market, the company says.

Other products on display were skid steer loaders, mini excavators, compressors and various attachments. At the demo area, Bobcat expert operators performed the various maneuvers and the versatility of the skid steer loader with nine attachments. The audience witnessed the S650 fitted with motor graders and S450 with multiple attachments like grappler, auger, hammer, multipurpose bucket, backhoe attachments, and pallet fork, performing various applications with precision.

E27 R-SERIES MINI EXCAVATOR: FEATURES
Steel track and long arm: The standard machine comes with steel track. Optional rubber track is also available depending on the operating ground conditions. Long arm again a standard in E27, offers best-in-class digging depth and reach among the 2-3 T mini excavators offered in Indian market. Dozer blade float function is a standard feature on the E27 and enables easy ground levelling for landscaping and finish grade applications as well as more efficient job site clean-up.

Two-speed: Two-speed travel is a key feature of Bobcat mini excavators and E27 has a maximum speed of 5.1 km/hour, the highest in 2-3 ton category. Manual two-speed function improves job site maneuverability with precise control by balancing travel speed with the torque needed for turning and traveling on inclines.

Hydraulics: Bobcat E27 is equipped with smooth responsive hydraulics that gives the level of control demanded by the customer in any application, from fine grading and dozing to backfilling. Powerful bucket and stick digging forces combined with fast cycle times result in world-class productivity and performance.

Engine and fuel efficiency: Fuel efficiency and lower operating costs are top priorities for Bobcat. The E27 which is a 2.7 ton mini excavator is powered by 25 hp engine comes with standard auto idle and electronic throttle control which is one of the key features of Bobcat R-Series mini excavators. This helps in lowering engine rpm to idle when not in use, resulting in better fuel efficiency and cost savings.

Operator cabin and working environment: ROPS and FOPS operator cabin with suspension seat and the in-built easy-to-use fingertip hydraulic controls makes E27 the preferred mini excavator for operator comfort together with safety and productivity. Improved boom light with additional LED lights on canopy increases visibility resulting in better productivity when working in night shifts and enclosed work areas.
