IMT, the global leader for piling rigs from Italy, has appointed GMMCO Ltd as their exclusive distributor recently for pan-India territory. Leveraging on its strong sales and service network, GMMCO will market the entire range of IMT piling rigs across India and provide after-sales support for the piling rig customers.

IMT International S.p.A was founded in 1974 by Giulio Accorroni. Since then, the company has invested significantly in technology and design, and concentrated on the acquisition of specific know-how for the planning and construction of hydraulic drill rigs, in constant search of high-quality products and customer satisfaction. IMT has a global footprint with presence in over 30 countries in the world. IMT drill rigs are considered among the best performing in the market. In 1993, IMT began manufacturing its own machines using Caterpillar excavator bases. From the very beginning, this proved to be a very successful choice and IMT was able to perfectly combine its attachment with the CAT base. In the last few years, a series of machines with IMT base has been manufactured, in parallel with the CAT range of machines. The first series of machines is already working on numerous job sites across the world.

To date, IMT is launching a second generation of machines mounted on bases designed and manufactured entirely by IMT. These machines contain all the know-how acquired throughout the years and the suggestions of IMT clients from all over the world.

The new A Series drill rigs are suitable for the use in several different configurations, with very simple procedures for the passage from one version to another. The drill rig is designed for very arduous applications as, thanks to its torque and high-performing winch, its capability of reaching great depths, also with great diameters. Its heavy-duty undercarriage guarantees optimal stability in various conditions and configurations.

Although complete range of IMT drills from 125 KN to 460 KN is available for Indian market, the Models A-215 (installed torque 215 KN) and A-270 (installed torque 275 KN) are more relevant for the applications in India and a few units are already operating successfully in infrastructure projects.
