Machine Control -The way you want it
Murphy by Enovation Controls works with OEMs globally bringing together different aspects of their equipment enhancing features, making it user-friendly, smarter, safer, and ultimately more efficient. Murphy believes that an integrated equipment with either fully automatic or assist control systems are built in can perform better, keep the user well informed and eventually improve productivity at the work site. That is where Intelligent Equipment Integration comes in.

What is Intelligent Equipment Integration?
A modern equipment with a well-designed display user interface, engine and transmission safety, hydraulic interlocks and control, incorporating rugged and reliable controllers and sensors, improves the reliability of a machine. It simplifies control for the operator and plays an important role in enhancing the equipment's overall performance.

"We work closely with OEMs to integrate their equipment and build in control systems customised to their equipment. This ensures that the solution they offer to their customer has their branding, their touch, and most importantly the intelligence they want added. This ensures they are creating a product differentiation in the marketplace," says Harpreet Singh Wahan, General Manager - India, Murphy by Enovation Controls.

Control Solutions from Murphy

  • -Vehicle Management Systems - integrating displays, controllers, I/O modules and sensors.
  • -Engine (Tier IV), Transmission Control - for all kinds of mobile machinery.
  • -Hydraulic Control Systems - all kinds of hydraulic control - ON/OFF, proportional valves and related interlocks.
  • -Drill Assist System (DAS) - mining, exploratory and water-well drill rigs.
  • -Weigh Assist System (WAS) - payload and weighing for forklifts, stackers, wheel loaders.
  • -High Current Switching Solutions- eliminating fuses and relays - IP67 solutions for switching lights, horn, powering sensors etc.

Murphy PowerView Intelligent Displays are well accepted in the marketplace and leaders for rugged outdoor control requirements. These equipment displays are fully programmable and can function as the intelligent central controller unit for most equipment logic. In sizes from 2.5 inch to 12 inch, from monochrome to full colour, these rugged and robust displays are what you would call æAny Environment Displays'. Suitable for mechanical and electronic engines, the Murphy displays are a great option for any mobile equipment.

The IX3212 PDM - Intelligent Expansion Power Module is the answer for power management in an equipment. With 20 inputs, a very robust casing, solid-state relays, CAN Communication and 12 high current outputs that can switch up to 15A each, this module is a great asset to equipment integration. The IX3212 plays an important role in making the equipment easy to assemble, easy to service, eliminate fuses and relays and reduce wiring harness complexity.

The Hydraulic Valve Drivers - XMD 01 - 02 are a great modular approach to hydraulic proportional valve control. A rugged casing, 12 pole Deutsch connectors, wide temperature range and IP67 rating, makes it a great option for hydraulic control in an application. The XMD is programmed with a mobile App and communicates with all other modules on CAN.

The Murphy range of CANJ1939 I/O modules - SenderCAN, MeCAN, MeCAN1905, DCS provide logical control capability to any equipment. Robust, waterproof and very easy to integrate makes them a very popular choice among several OEMs.

The I/O modules and the Powercore IX3212 working around the Powervision Display units form a strong and reliable network of hardware and software using which the entire equipment can be integrated. This robust base is then used to integrate other components like pressure transmitters, inclinometers, rotary sensors, load cell amplifiers, valve controllers, data loggers, cameras which are also offered by Murphy as part of the complete solution we offer to our customers.

"The IX3212, the XMD and the Powerview Displays work together to create a control backbone in an equipment. This manages the engine, transmission and all hydraulic controls with all the necessary interlocks," says Chris Taylor, Head Engineering, UK.
