Talbert updates 60CC/55SA-LD for increased load versatility
Talbert Manufacturing, a North American leader in specialised heavy-haul solutions, recently updated the 60CC/55SA-LD trailer for increased flexibility to meet differing hauling regulations. This trailer showcases a new hydraulically operated system to allow operation of the third axle only or a combination of third and fourth axles. The 60CC/55SA-LD also features an industry-leading 18-inch loaded deck height ? 2 inch lower than competitive models ? and 6-inch ground clearance. It also gives operators the ability to switch between configurations, for state-of-the-art load versatility and limiting the need for additional permitting.

Talbert Manufacturing will showcase a customised 3+1 configuration of the 60CC/55SA-LD trailer at booth F5504 during Conexpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas, highlighting the trailer?s versatility. The show model is designed to be under 53-ft overall length with a 28-ft deck length and tandem axle trailer with provisions for a third and fourth axle capable of a 2, 3, 4 and 3+1 axle configuration set up. Capacity for various configurations are: 55 ton in 10-ft two-point rigid load base with 108-inch swing and four axles close coupled; 55 tons in 13-ft two-point rigid load base with 132-inch swing and 3+1 E1Nitro axle extension; and 60 tons in 13-ft two-point rigid load base with 108-inch swing and four axles close coupled.

?When you look at the overall size of heavy-haul loads, a couple of inches might not seem consequential; but to our customers, those two inches can make a world of difference,? said Troy Geisler, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Talbert.
