Caterpillar announced the launch of its popular B3 series skid steer loader (SSL) in the Indian market at Excon 2015. The launch of the Catt? 216B3 SSL marks Caterpillar?s entry into the growing skid steer loader segment in India.
The company also showcased its Cat 424B backhoe loader (BHL) at Excon 2015. Besides the Cat 216B3 and the Cat 424B, Caterpillar showcased its multi-purpose and technologically advanced Cat B20 breaker. Other machines on display at the trade fair included excavators, motor graders, wheel loaders, track type tractors, off highway trucks and other new products and technology solutions. The launch of the B3 series skid steer loader adds to Caterpillar?s ?Make in India? initiative. These machines will be manufactured in Caterpillar?s production facility set up at Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. It will cater to the needs emanating from various parts of the world, besides the Indian market.
