Cummins India wins award at Excon
At the Excon 2019, Cummins India was felicitated with the ?Excon Women Building India Awards-Inclusive Workplace-EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AWARD? by the hands of Union Minister for Road, Transport & Highways and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Nitin Gadkari and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.

Cummins India was recognised for its leadership and deep commitment towards diversity and inclusion at workplace. Challenging the impossible and breaking the frontiers of gender inequality, Cummins innovated, included and initiated every potential measure for impactful investments that have promoted the participation of women at all levels in their workforce. Cummins not only promoted gender balanced leadership within the organisation from Talent Visibility to Talent Development, but also ensures to create a stronger community.

Cummins today has 33 per cent women in their workforce. A remarkable 42 per cent women are in leadership roles and an 88 per cent utilisation of onsite creches. Beyond developing gender neutral policies and guidelines, Cummins has ergonomically designed workstations that enable women to participate in all the shifts on the shop floor.
