First Liebherr R 936 excavator delivered to Elboka
SOMTP Belgium delivered the first of the new R 936 compacts in Benelux to earthmoving company Elboka N.V, in last August. With an operating weight of around 36 tonnes, the R 936 compact crawler excavator is the largest compact crawler excavator produced by Liebherr-France SAS.

Like the other compact models developed by Liebherr, the R 936 Compact is ideal for applications operating in confined spaces, making it perfect for urban operations. With a short rear turning radius of 1.98 m, the R 936 Compact offers maximum safety and flexibility on site, according to the company.

The R 936 Compact?s powerful engine develops 190 kW/258 hp, in line with Stage IV/Tier 4 Final and using Liebherr SCR technology. This technology, developed and produced by Liebherr, operates without external recirculation of exhaust gases (EGR), a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) or a diesel particulate filter (DPF). This guarantees superior performance and reliability.

At Elboka N.V., the Liebherr R936 Compact crawler excavator has an operating weight of around 36 tonnes and a bucket capacity from 1-2.15 cu m. The company also opted for 900-mm-wide crawlers and an LC undercarriage to minimise ground pressure. The mono boom is 6.2 m long and the stick 3.2 m.

The equipment of the R 936 Compact is designed with cast steel articulations to better respond to varying application constraints. In addition, its high digging forces guarantee maximum productivity on site.
