Volvo Construction Equipment used the Excon 2015 exhibition to unveil its heavyweight EC750D excavator, which is now available in the Indian market. The powerful unit is the largest excavator to date from the manufacturer and is already attracting strong interest from the mining industry where the unit?s fuel efficiency and load-handling capability will deliver class-leading productivity.

The presentation of EC750D excavator at Excon 2015 was timely as many visitors to the event represent mining companies where there is strong demand for larger equipment to help meet growing production targets. With the Government of India targeting annual coal production of one billion tons by 2020, pressure is building on mining operators to improve both their productivity and output.
