This is my first Bauma Conexpo in India. I am very positive on this exhibition as many of our existing and potential customers will be visiting our stand. Also many of them will be showcasing their product which will enable us understand their products and requirements in detail.

At Bauma
Bauma Conexpo has always been a positive platform for us to strengthen our relationship with existing and new customers. Trade shows like Bauma Conexpo are also beneficial to understand and identify the respective market sentiments. Recently we launched our new 5 and 8 litre engines with power rating 105-235 kW for Indian market; this will be an ideal platform to understand the market response on these engines. This new line of 5 and 8 litre engines are intended to meet the growing demand in the Indian market and are certified for CEV Bharat Stage III emissions standards. They are already in the field, powering a variety of applications including construction, material handling, raw material exploration, forestry and agriculture around the world.

We will be displaying our 8 and 13 litre engines in this edition of Bauma. These engines are built on Volvo group?s common design concept with optimised fuel efficiency. These are ready for higher emission norms, whether it comes now or later with base engine commonality for all emission stages.

Expectations
With our new range of products, we are in an excellent position to take the advantages of this opportunity. We expect maximum footfalls to witness the new 8 litre engine which will be manufactured and supplied from India under our Make in India initiative from April 2017.

Looking forward
We are presently supplying engines to selected segments in India like material handling, construction and the power gen. We would like to further strengthen our business in these segments. However, we are open to explore new growth opportunities as per market requirements. The need for fuel efficient products is on a constant rise due to increasing energy consumption. We see immense scope of business from these areas as Volvo Penta?s offerings are fully fuel efficient and emission compliant. Also, our close customer relations have enabled us to develop and deliver products that can meet respective market dynamics. We are also capable of delivering products to customers who are seeking opportunities to supply products meeting emission standards outside India.

Bauma Conexpo will provide a platform for us and our customers in partnership to deepen relations with contractors and other stakeholders in the industry.
