VECV, Jio-bp Pulse Partner to Expand EV Charging for Trucks & Buses
VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jio-bp pulse to strengthen electric vehicle (EV) charging access for commercial fleets across India.

The partnership enables Eicher Trucks and Buses’ EV customers to seamlessly access Jio-bp’s network of over 6000 DC fast charging points located in cities, highways, and dedicated EV hubs. This marks the first-ever integration of a public charging network directly into VECV’s My Eicher fleet management app, allowing operators real-time visibility of charger locations and availability.

Through this collaboration, Jio-bp pulse will leverage its fast-growing EV charging infrastructure and customised solutions, while VECV will contribute its expertise in electric trucks and buses. Both companies will work closely with fleet operators to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission mobility in India’s commercial vehicle sector.

Vinod Aggarwal, Managing Director & CEO, VECV, said the MoU represents a major milestone in electrifying trucking. He highlighted that integrating Jio-bp pulse chargers into My Eicher will remove a critical barrier to EV fleet adoption. Sarthak Behuria, Chairman, Jio-bp, noted that the alliance strengthens India’s transition towards sustainable transport and supports the government’s vision for widespread EV adoption.

VECV and Jio-bp pulse will also jointly explore depot-level charging and bespoke infrastructure projects to support large EV fleets and bus operations.
